The First Step's a Doozy!

In purchasing a home, there are several steps. Some are super fun, while others can make even the most experienced real estate agents cringe. Quite frankly, the very first step is actually deciding you can/should/will do it! As Bugs Bunny says, "The first step's a doozy!" This speaks true in so many environments. For a first time home buyer, just deciding that purchasing a home feels a little bit like Wile E. Coyote stepping off a cliff.

So, you're renting, or maybe you live in your parents basement. So what? Do you have a good job? Do you pay your bills on time? You should really consider purchasing a home. When my husband and I were renting, we had a few friends who owned homes. We never considered purchasing, until one of our friends pointed out that he does the exact same job as us and he owns a home. Quite frankly, it was simply that mental hurdle we had to overcome. What we learned is that paying rent to yourself feels a heck of a lot better than paying rent to someone else.

Hi there!

This is the first of many posts....I'm hoping.... :-)

This blog will be not only about real estate, but what it's like to be a real estate agent in general. I am in my third year as an agent and really do love it. This line of work is really crazy at times, for sure!! I think that is partly why I truly enjoy real estate. I really don't know what is going to happen on a day to day basis. While many of you who know me, know that I am a very scheduled person - I have learned over my "working life" that I am not a good candidate for an 8 to 5, sit at my desk all day type of job. I will never publish real names or "out" anyone, as privacy is important to me.
